the tea, the story.

Four loose-leaf teas from one farm, 50 g each: sencha (unshaded, fresh), kabusecha (shaded, sweet), genmaicha (with the farm's hand-roasted rice) and strong-roast hojicha (dark, caramel). Together they cover the whole range of Japanese green tea, from grassy to toasty, and because every leaf comes from Morii Farm in Kizugawa, Kyoto, what you taste is processing, not provenance.

What is inside

Sencha, 50 g — spring first flush, steamed, bright and clean. Kabusecha, 50 g — shaded two weeks, deep-steamed, sweet umami. Genmaicha, 50 g — green tea with farm-grown, hand-roasted rice. Hojicha strong roast, 50 g — first-flush leaf, deep-roasted, low caffeine.

Why together

Start with sencha in the morning, kabusecha when you want depth, genmaicha with food, hojicha after dinner. Four teas, about 64 pots. You save €6.70 compared with buying them separately.

Frequently asked questions

In what order should I taste them?

Light to dark: sencha, kabusecha, genmaicha, hojicha. Brew sencha and kabusecha at 70 °C, genmaicha at 85 °C, hojicha with boiling water.

Which one is lowest in caffeine?

Hojicha and genmaicha (roughly 10–20 mg per cup). Sencha and kabusecha are 20–40 mg. All are below coffee.

Do I need special equipment?

A teapot with a strainer or any infuser. A kitchen thermometer helps for the green teas but is not essential: let boiled water sit five minutes.

Is it a good gift?

Yes; it is the set we recommend when someone asks “where do I start with Japanese tea”.

How fast does it ship, and what does delivery cost?

Orders ship within 24 hours from Tallinn, Estonia. Estonia: Omniva parcel locker €2.95, free from €50. Latvia and Lithuania: €4.95–5.95. Finland: Matkahuolto €7.95. Elsewhere in the EU: free shipping from €75. Pickup at Morii Teahouse, Kopli 16, Tallinn (Mon–Sat 12–21, Sun 12–20) is usually ready the same day, and you can taste the tea before you take it home.

how to make it.

Every tea in this bundle has its own brewing guide on its product page. Short version: powders get whisked or shaken, leaves get steeped, and nothing here wants boiling water.

delivery and returns.
