Our story

named after the family that grows it.

Morii is the Morii family: fourth-generation tea growers in Kizugawa, southern Kyoto. We buy from them directly, brew their teas at our tea house on Kopli 16 in Tallinn, and ship the same pouches across Europe. No importer, no blender, no warehouse in between.

Sourcing

picked once a year. milled for you.

Our matcha comes from the Morii family's shaded fields in Kizugawa, Kyoto, picked in the first flush of May. Leaves are steamed, dried, de-stemmed and stone-milled slowly, which is why it's bright green, not army green. Hojicha is the same leaf, roasted by hand.
